Forth St - A New Expression in a Blue Chip Address

In real estate, the saying holds true. Location is everything. In New Farm, that idea carries weight, even when the home itself tells a different story. When a property described as unliveable sold for $2.1 million, it reflected more than its condition. It spoke to potential, to position, and to what could be achieved on a well-placed block.

In this case, the site was reworked to create two residences across separate frontages. The project featured a new build addressing Forth Street, delivering a contemporary home within one of Brisbane’s most tightly held suburbs.

It was a pleasure for arthaus Bathroom & Kitchen to work alongside the Z Corp team, supplying fixtures across the bathrooms, powder rooms, kitchen, laundry and guest house. The selections carry through the home, creating a sense of consistency while supporting and enhancing the overall design.

A Unified Approach Through Finish

Rather than relying on a single collection, this project brings together a range of pieces unified through finish. Brushed Gold runs consistently across the home, tying each space together while allowing individual elements to retain their own identity.

In the bathrooms, Collaro oval vessel basins introduce a sculptural element, creating visual interest while keeping the overall look clean and modern. Paired with wall-mounted Vita tapware, the result is functional and refined, with clear surfaces and an uncluttered feel.

Showers are generous in scale, combining the Embrace overhead with the Architectura Style rail set to create a space that feels open, comfortable and easy to use. The focus stays on performance, while maintaining the same finish and detailing seen throughout the home.

An Argent Evo Smart Toilet adds another layer to the specification. Integrated within the bathroom design, it introduces a higher level of comfort and functionality that sets the home apart, reflecting a more thoughtful approach to everyday living.

Carrying Through to Kitchen and Living Spaces

That same approach continues into the kitchen, laundry and outdoor areas, where material selection and finish carry just as much weight as function.

Brushed Gold remains a defining element, used across the Vita kitchen mixers to create a clear visual link back to the bathrooms. Set against the ceramic sinks, the finish introduces warmth and contrast, giving these spaces a more elevated feel without becoming overstated.

A mix of Villeroy & Boch ceramic sinks, including Siluet and Timeline, brings both scale and presence to the kitchen. In the scullery, a Subway butler sink adds a more substantial, traditional form, balancing the cleaner lines seen elsewhere in the home.

A Gorgeous Result

In a project like this, where a new build sits within a highly sought-after suburb, the success of the outcome comes down to how well everything works together.

The fixtures bring consistency, introduce warmth and add a layer of refinement across each space. They contribute to the home's overall feel, giving each room a sense of completeness while still allowing the architecture and materials to lead.
